Welcome!
This site is home to my music - I hope you'll enjoy listening to it.
As well as writing music, I teach piano and work intermittently in arts administration roles.
My creative practice is driven by a curiosity about how we interact with each other and the world around us. I am inspired by different styles of music, though I'm drawn to music or sound design that pushes the boundaries of instruments and ideas of form and tonality and which challenges us to re-think our conceptions of the world around us and our place in it. I'm fascinated by how music can be a strong form of communication between people and forge communities in different settings.
I have been fortunate to have my music performed by the Flinders Quartet (for their 2018 Composer Development Program and again in 2022 for a new commission as part of their Beethoven and the Vignettes project); Loadbang ensemble (USA) for their 2023 Divergent Studio in Boston; Daniel McKay for the 2018 Melbourne Guitar Festival; and the Melbourne Chamber Choir for the 2019 Choral@Montsalvat festival.
If you would like to discuss a new commission, ask about learning piano or engage my arts administration services, please get in touch.
